July 6:

The pad and steps formed

the back half of the room divided off and wet down

 getting the sono tubes ready

 the tools ready and waiting

 the concrete is here. Tom made this jig to keep the post brackets in position while the concrete sets

back up into the same corner of the yard as before

fill the sono tubes first,

then the floor

preliminary leveling

pouring the steps and pad

this screeding was relatively easy

compared to this

hauling the excess concrete out by ladder and bucket

cleaning the tools

Tom had a lot of troweling to do.

July 8:

 ready to pour the rest of the floor

here it comes

Ben was Tom's helper today

Whaddayamean that's all the concrete? Get up there and scrape out the rest!

just barely enough

screeding around the buried stuff

preliminary smoothing

 final troweling

putting in the date for me

done.

That jig worked very well.
